Through its Church in Society Committee, Resurrection Lutheran Church is actively involved in the following social projects:

Minnesota FoodShare Program – Participate in statewide program by collecting food and money in March for St. Joseph food shelf. www.gmcc.org/foodshare

Anna Marie’s (Central Minnesota Task Force on Battered Women) – Collect household and personal items and monetary donations for Anna Marie’s shelter – usually in May. www.annamaries.org

School supplies – collect supplies for area children in August.

Warm winter wear and other clothing items – collect for Hands Across the World (HAW) in St. Cloud and for families from People’s Church in Bemidji – in September and October.

“Share the Spirit” – collect gifts, grocery and gas certificates for Hands Across the World (HAW) in St. Cloud and for families from People’s Church in Bemidji – in December..

ELCA Hunger Appeal – educate members on needs and collect monetary donations – year around with special emphasis in the Spring of Fall. www.elca.org/hunger

Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity – participate in building homes with prospective homeowners in St. Joseph and St. Cloud area – year around. www.cmhfh.org

St. Joseph Food Shelf – collect food and monetary donations year around.

Community Care Network – Resurrection has an active committee interested in seeking justice for all people.

Free trade coffee, tea, cocoa mix, and baking cocoa – sell to members to support small–scale farmers around the world.

Church in Society bulletin board – maintain with information about Anna Marie’s – www.annamaries.org, Lutheran Social Service – www.lssmn.org, Habitat for Humanity – www.cmhfh.org, Bread for the World – www.bread.org, and other organizations.

Resurrection Lutheran Church Budget – tithe at least 10% to benevolences.
