Sarah Larson,

Pastor

Pastor Sarah began serving at Resurrection Lutheran Church in October 2022 after previously serving at Zion Lutheran in Milaca, MN. She has two children and loves spending time with them and with extended family, whether playing games, watching movies, listening to music, or playing a friendly game of basketball. Pastor Sarah’s journey to the ministry began in her high school years when she served as the musician for worship services at Bethel Lutheran, her home church in Little Falls, MN. Music ministry was a part of her life for many years, as she continued playing piano for worship services throughout her college and even seminary years. In addition to her role in music ministry, Pastor Sarah was employed at HealthPartners Central MN Clinics for nearly 10 years, working first in scheduling and then in the Human Resources department throughout her undergraduate years. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Science/Athletic Training from St. Cloud State University. Although she enjoyed the program immensely, she knew it was not her life’s calling and felt an ongoing pull to ministry.

“Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn’ (Romans 12:15-16). These words from Paul’s letter to the Romans have always felt like God’s directions and intentions for my life. And so began my seminary journey…”

Pastor Sarah attended Luther Seminary in St. Paul to pursue this call. She worked in the Medical Staff Office at St. Cloud Hospital until she graduated from Luther with her Master of Divinity degree and received her first call.

“I feel blessed to be ministering and serving alongside the people of Resurrection Lutheran. This is a wonderful faith community, and everyone has a very welcoming and caring “can-do” attitude. For anyone who might be looking for a church home where they will feel welcome and connected…I invite you to give RLC a try! I look forward to serving and worshipping with all of you in the years to come.” – Pastor Sarah
