Pastor Dwaine Bruns
Dwaine Bruns has served as pastor of Resurrection since 1995. A graduate of Augsburg College in Minneapolis and Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Pastor Dwaine was ordained in 1982. He served two other congregations in Minnesota before being called to St. Joseph. He lives outside of Avon with his wife, Jeanne and children, Rachel and Joel. Jeanne is a teacher in Albany.
Pastor Dwaine grew up with his parents on a farm in west-central Minnesota, which instilled in him a deep love of the land and the outdoors. It was also there that his Christian faith was nourished and he first felt called to ministry. As a pastor, his first loves are leading creative worship and preaching. He also takes delight in working with the congregation and its leaders to discern the direction of the mission and ministry to which God is calling Resurrection.
Away from the church, Pastor Dwaine treasures family time and being involved in the many activities of his children. He also enjoys biking, golfing, reading, music and outdoor activities.
