Call to order: 6:30 PM.

Approval of meeting agenda: motion, seconded, approved.
Green team members Stan Hansen and Rebecca Haug presented a proposal regarding three rain gardens constructed for storm water quality treatment purposes. Construction cost options for the southerly rain garden include estimates of $4178 or $2439, depending on depth and size; easterly rain garden cost estimate is $820 and northerly rain garden cost estimate is $1010. Stan reported construction could be accomplished in one day; there would be minimal infringement on the farmer’s market. Planting would be done by volunteers. Rebecca reported a possible grant opportunity: 50% of the cost up to $5,000. There was discussion to eliminate the easterly rain garden due to possible building expansion in the future; there were also questions regarding responsibility for maintaining the rain gardens.
Motion, seconded and approved construction of the rain gardens pending obtaining grant money. If the grant is obtained, construction of the rain gardens would be publicized in hopes of obtaining balance of designated funds.
