Committee reports:
Outreach: attended September 1 college event for students; a student faith community group and Bible study is scheduled. Will conduct follow up phone calls to church visitors.
Christian Education: reported on Rally Sunday and Rally Wednesday events. Seeking two Sunday school teachers; have teachers/leaders in place for Wednesday evenings. Puppet ministry has begun.
Church in Society: School supplies have been delivered to Bemidji Place of Hope and St. Cloud/St. Joe elementary schools. Warm winter wear collection began in September. GRIP member Jeanie Wilkens reported on housing needs for large families; their group is working with St. Cloud Legal Aid and HRA.
Staff support: spiritual R&R is being offered in September.
Property: cost estimates are being obtained for replacement of windows. Will be repairing ceiling fan in the sanctuary. Church clean up is scheduled September 27 after second worship service.
Worship and Music: Rally Sunday and Rally Wednesday is on schedule. Will be looking for nursery staff on Wednesdays from 6:15 - 7:00 PM.
Youth: discussed fund-raising activities. A petting zoo will be held on Rally Sunday.

Growth in the faith/leadership activity - Pastor Dwaine. Discussion: Marks of a Mission Congregation.
Old business:
Green Team: awaiting grant funding for rain gardens. Work on the rain gardens may be part of an Eagle Scout project by Dylan Pederson. Discussed the possibility of planting natural grasses and wildflowers along the roadway ditch.
Pastor Dwaine noted Zach Kuntz constructs Baptism Faith Chests as part of his Eagle Scout project.
The goal for Wednesday worship is to have it be an intergenerational group
A Congregational Church forum is scheduled September 24 to discuss recent ELCA churchwide assembly decisions.
Youth and family staff position has been posted; application deadline is September 25. The position is scheduled for 20- 25 hours per week. Hope to have the position filled by mid October.
New business:
Mark Matthew’s ordination is scheduled for October 17.
Motion, seconded and approved to purchase ordination gifts for Mark Matthews and last year’s intern, Ingrid.
Discussed the possibility of obtaining a mail posting machine.
Reported US cable will soon be offering telephone service; will consider purchasing.
