Annual Congregational Meeting

Call to order by Council President Dan Kuntz at 12:30 PM.
Devotions by Pastor Linda
Motion, seconded and approved meeting agenda.
Motion, seconded and approved minutes from previous meeting.
Staff reports submitted.
Committees and groups:
Christian Education: Kathy Kuebelbeck complemented Vacation Bible School staff; 170 children from three different churches attended last summer.
Worship and Music: Deb Robinson complemented Kari Haynes for helping with acolytes.
Property Committee: Dan Kuntz complimented the committee for their paint work.
Financial:
Dan Kuntz reported on the great accomplishment regarding mortgage payment.
Clarified mission spending plan including: ’08 “Local Need Fund”, expenditures were used from Designated Fund; “Cooperative Youth Ministry”, no longer exists; Youth and Family Ministry Staff: position is currently vacant. Hours and salary will be dependent on new hire.
Motion, seconded and approved reports with e-mail correction on page 12.
Motion, second and approved Congregation Council elections for Property, Outreach and Finance.
There’s a vacancy in Education. Anyone interested can contact councilmembers or Pastor Dwaine; a member can be appointed by Council and voted on next year.
Old Business
Sue Curtis reported on Youth and Family Coordinator vacancy: five interviews have been completed and two more are scheduled.
Pastor Dwaine reported the Congregational Priorities and Mission Goals are a three-year process; some goals have already started, other goals will be forthcoming.
New Business
Motion, seconded and approved 2009 resolutions as submitted.
Acknowledgment and appreciation to Lisa Boe and Ron Good for their three-year congregation council tenure; Wilbur Wilkins for accepting Treasurer duties and responsibilities.
25th Anniversary Celebration: Dan Kuntz reported committees will set up booths for information and education purposes.
Motion, seconded and approved to adjourn at 1:25 PM.
