Council President Annual Report for 2009
I’m pleased to say that 2009 was another year of growth in many areas of ministry at Resurrection Lutheran Church.
Over the summer, a small team of youth and adult chaperons attended the National Youth Gathering in New Orleans, during which they served the community in many ways.
Resurrection hosted the community Vacation Bible School again this year. This continues to be a huge success, drawing kids from many surrounding communities to grow in their faith.
Pastor Linda started her 2nd year with Campus Ministries. In the beginning of this 2nd year, she is reconnecting with many students and creating new connections through a variety of activities on and off campus.
To meet the growing demand for worship space, the WOW (Worship on Wednesday) service has been added. This has been well received and attended by an average of 70 people each week.
As members are baptized, they now receive a wooden faith chest filled with an assortment of gifts from Resurrection to help parents grow the faith of their children.
